SPOTLIGHT: "The Preacher's Kid"

"The Preacher's Kid" is the upcoming film starring R&B singer LeToya Luckett. She plays Angie, the daughter of a reverend who pretty much lives his life by the bible. Feeling restricted by the title of "Preacher's Kid", Angie decides she needs to find her own way after seeing a gospel play starring co-star R&B singer Tank. Angie wants to be a part of the play and against her fathers wishes auditions and ends up going on tour with the cast. Sure to have found her calling, Angie quickly realizes that not everything is what it seems and is forced to find herself and find a way to mend the tarnished bridge between she and her father...

This film has been getting alot of buzz since it was announced that LeToya would be starring in it and after several push backs, the film has a seemingly final release date of January 2010. Today the official theatrical trailer was released. The film also stars "Half & Half's" Essence Atkins and "ER's" Sharif Atkins along with Clifton Powell of "Next Friday" and "The Brothers".
